  1. I know and its so frustrating i dont know whats the cause of this. Because of this, the alternate tunings are impossible for me to play on.
  2. Im connecting my jtv50 to my POD XT live via VDI cable. I then connect the output directly to my studio monitors. The POD XT live is connected to my computer via USB cable. I dont have a dual path preset, does that exist on the XT live?
  3. Thanks for replying. I will definite try this out. But in the video you posted in the link, you are referring to the noise that rings out from the headstock, but in my case its the original sound thats leaking out and coming out of my monitors and even headphones. When I record into a DAW, the clip sounds perfectly fine, but monitoring the guitar in alternate tunings just sounds so off.
  4. I understand that the natural tone cannot be eliminated, but this sound is coming through my studio monitors as well, and also when i use headphones.
  5. Sorry I didnt see this topic earlier. I reflashed the firmware as well but the problem persists. I opened up CUBASE and recorded a short sample, and in the sample the guitar and the tuning sounds perfect, but on my monitors its not. There is some sort of a leak that is more apparent with clean sounds on altered tunings. When i crank up the distortion, the leak is not as apparent since I guess the distortion is added to the the actual signal and not the leaked one and so its still there but cant be heard as much. Is there any way around this?
  6. Just updated to the latest firmware but the problem still persists. Can someone please help...
  7. I just bought a JTV-59 korea model 2 days ago and am having this exact problem. In most tunings like drop dflat and open G, open D, open A, the top three strings sound like a 12 string guitar but not exactly, it sounds like the original sound is also leaking through. This is most apparent when using clean models like acoustic or reso, making it unplayable. I would like to know if this is a problem that can be fixed by software update or is it a hardware problem and I have to replace it? Im going to try and install the latest update tonite, if mine already isnt the latest one and post back the results. BTW, Im connecting the Guitar to my POD XT Live via the Variax Input. Output is from the phones to my Studio monitors. All amps, cabs, mods and effects are turned off on the pod xt live.
