  1. POD Go presets on Helix / HX STOMP / XL ? Yes, there's now a converter! Hi everyone! Have you ever found a great guitar tone on YouTube or Line 6 CustomTone, only to discover it was made for POD Go? Or maybe you've upgraded from POD Go to Helix LT, Floor or HX Stomp and don't want to rebuild all your carefully crafted presets from scratch? I ran into this exact problem myself, so I developed HelixTools POD Go Converter. It's a browser-based tool that converts compatible POD Go (.pgp) presets into Helix/HX (.hlx) files. What can it do? Convert POD Go presets for Helix Floor, Helix LT, HX Stomp and HX Stomp XL Preserve compatible amp, cab and effect settings Transfer compatible snapshots and footswitch assignments Manage the HX Stomp 8-block limit Choose which 3 snapshots to keep for HX Stomp Run locally in your browser without uploading presets to a server But here's another interesting possibility: There are thousands of free POD Go presets on Line 6 CustomTone. With HelixTools, Helix users can explore those tones too, convert compatible presets and customize them further using their own hardware. HelixTools v3.8.0 The latest version includes improved footswitch mapping for HX Stomp and HX Stomp XL, including better handling of grouped assignments. The converter was developed and tested using my Helix LT. An HX Stomp XL user has also reported successfully converting three presets, including presets with snapshots. Watch the conversion demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de98VdBfWps HelixTools on Gumroad ($6): https://helixtools.gumroad.com/l/helixtools Please note that external IRs and some hardware-specific settings may require manual adjustments. Results can vary depending on the preset and destination device. This is an independent third-party utility, not an official Line 6 product. I'd be happy to answer questions or hear feedback from other POD Go, Helix and HX Stomp users! Less rebuilding. More playing.
  2. Just came across this thread, and I had exactly the same problem when I moved from POD Go to Helix LT. Since there wasn't a straightforward way to transfer my presets, I ended up developing HelixTools POD Go Converter. It converts compatible .pgp files into .hlx format, including amp/effect settings, snapshots and footswitch assignments. It's an independent paid utility ($6), and I've posted a real conversion demo on YouTube under HelixToolsApp. Might be useful for anyone else finding this thread while looking for a solution!
  3. Just an update for anyone finding this thread through Google: I recently developed HelixTools POD Go Converter, a browser-based tool that converts POD Go `.pgp` presets into Helix/HX `.hlx` files. It preserves compatible amp/effect settings, snapshots and footswitch assignments, so there's no need to rebuild everything manually. I've tested it on my Helix LT, and another user has confirmed successful conversions on HX Stomp XL. You can find a full conversion demo by searching YouTube for HelixToolsApp I'm the developer, so happy to answer any technical questions. This is an independent paid utility, not an official Line 6 tool.

    Helix To POD

Translating presets from Helix down to POD Go is a massive technical headache due to the POD Go's rigid block architecture and single DSP limits — you almost always have to sacrifice blocks or routing to make anything fit. However, if anyone stumbled upon this thread looking to go the other way around (POD Go --> Helix), that direction is fully solved. Since Helix has plenty of DSP and open routing, transferring POD Go patches translates cleanly. I developed a web tool called HelixTools specifically for this: • Converts .pgp files straight into .hlx • Preserves blocks, parameters, bypass states, and snapshots • Supports jailbreak / free-block POD Go presets • Runs locally in your browser Thread with video demo and details here: https://line6.com/support/topic/72389-tool-helixtools-convert-pod-go-presets-pgp-to-helix-hlx/ Hope it helps anyone upgrading their rig from the POD Go!
  7. Reviving this thread because it’s still one of the top results when searching for a solution to this. Since Line 6 never released an official converter, I ended up building a browser-based utility called HelixTools to bridge the gap between POD Go (.pgp) and Helix (.hlx). It automates the process and carries over: • Compatible amp/cab and effects blocks with dialed-in settings • Bypass states and expression pedal assignments • Up to 4 snapshots with custom names • Jailbroken / free-block presets from POD Go Everything processes locally in your browser (no preset files uploaded to any servers). I created a full walkthrough thread with a video demo over in the Helix section: https://line6.com/support/topic/72389-tool-helixtools-convert-pod-go-presets-pgp-to-helix-hlx/ Or you can check the demo directly here: https://youtu.be/de98VdBfWps Hope this saves some time for anyone upgrading their rig and looking to salvage their tone library!
  8. Hi all, Helix LT and Floor prices are dropping hard on the used market right now, making the upgrade from POD Go super tempting. I recently upgraded from a POD Go to a Helix LT. While exploring HX Edit, I realized there is no direct way to transfer my existing POD Go patches without manually dialing in all the blocks and values one by one. To save time, I developed a small standalone tool called **HelixTools** to convert .pgp files into Helix-ready .hlx patches. Here is a short real-time demo showing the conversion and HX Edit import: https://youtu.be/de98VdBfWps Key features: - Runs locally in the web browser (no upload required). - Converts .pgp patches to .hlx for Helix Floor and Helix LT. - Transfers supported blocks, bypass states, snapshots (up to 4) with names, and expression pedal assignments. - Flags IR reminders or complex jailbreak blocks so you know what to check after importing. For anyone who upgraded recently and wants to save hours of manual recreation, the tool is available here: https://helixtools.gumroad.com/l/helixtools Any questions or edge-case preset tests, feel free to ask!
