  1. ...Oh, one last question ... do I use 1/4" TRS, or just a regular guitar cable?
  2. Thank you very much. I think I'm going to record using the 1/4" at LINE level. I appreciate the replies.
  3. Hello: I want to record my HD500X via XLR cable in MONO, but I find that with some of the effects (like the stereo delay effects for example) I can only hear left of right side of the effect. I would like to hear both summed to a mono output. What's the correct way to do this? If I use the 1/4" jack marked "mono" I assume I am losing sound quality as compared to the XLR connection. THANKS!
  4. Thank you very much for your comments, spaceatl. I have been reading and now think I have a decent understanding of how this amp works. What are your thoughts on DT25 tone versus DT50 tone? Any noticeable differences?
  5. Hey, Happy New Year! Anyone else want to weight in on this? :)
  6. Thanks for the reply agbiggs. The SPECs page for DT25 leds me to believe that it also has a tube in the preamp section: (1) 12AX7, (2) EL84 tubes So, can anyone confirm if the power amp tube is bypassed when using HD500 via L6 link? Also, have at my other questions if you please :)
  7. Hello: I currently have a Fender Hot Rod all-tube amp but would like a more versatile amp, so I am considering the purchase of a DT25 or 50. I also have an HD500 and an old Pod XT Live. In my research, I see some posts suggesting tubes are bypassed in low-power mode. True? Other posts say that, when coupled with HD500 via L6 link, the tube preamp of DT is bypassed. True? Also, is there digital modeling going on in the DT and when am I hearing modeling as opposed to hearing an all-tube signal path? Finally, where are these details documented?
  8. Because of the cryptic EQs, (percent values rather than frequencies), my Pod HD500X has been sitting in the closet for about a year. I use the EQs heavily on my POD XT Live and I bought the HD500X as a replacement. Needless to say I am deeply discouraged. How can I submit a formal request for change to the software development team for HD500X at Line 6? Based on the responses to this thread alone, it is in their interest to change the displays to frequencies. THANKS!
