I have an on going issue that I can't seem to figure out that I've been trying to figure out for months. When running my Strymon BigSky and Timeline either in a loop or if I try to run in stereo by using the left and right outputs on the HX Effects I get digital clipping.
When running them in the loop I've had to adjust the Send volume down by around -16db to eliminate the clipping, then I max the Boost on the BigSky (+3db) and then max in Return volume on the HX Effect out just to try and get close to the original volume (I think the max is +6db if I remember correctly).
Then when I try to tun the Strymon pedals in stereo by using both outs on the HX Effects since there is no volume adjustments for the outs I found that if I use the low pass filer on the BigSky that helps clean up the issue.
All this brings up several questions. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Is there maybe something wrong with my HX Effects? What I really want to do is run a true stereo set up where I run out to the front of 2 clean amps but I don't want to loose signal volume or integrity, which might make using a loop an issue because I don't think you can use a single loop in stereo and I have my drives on the first loop so I can use a noise gate and compressor in front of them on the HX.
