  1. How does it communicate with the amplifier?
  2. My guess is many people give up. It is an unrealistic chore to get up to speed. From updating drivers to learning how to use the app. The product does work, but the process of figuring it out is unreasonable. No manual or instructions about the amp or the app. Yes there is this forum even though Line6 does not contribute much. The do have tickets and they do answer but I suspect many people don't bother and ultimately lose interest. Real customer oriented businesses would not tolerate this type of situation. Get real Line6.

It probably means you can save only one tone at a time. The program is not what I would call robust or sophisticated.

Amplifi Remote App running on Remix OS 2.0

Careful here. Remix OS has some hardware requirements you may not have on older PCs. eg. USB 3.0, Intel processor, high capacity USB drive, Bluetooth capability. (you can get a USB Bluetooth device, but you will need at least two USB sockets.) If anyone has any updated info let us know.

How to Access the 96 other presets

Thanks Johnny. This is waht I am looking at from your post. 3. On the App, go to the "tones" page (select "tones" from the bottom menu items). 4. on the Tones page, on the top menu bar, you should see your "Amplifi" in the right hand box - select this. My Android app has My Tones and Tone Search. Not sure what you mean by "select "tones" from the bottom menu items" Ahah -- under My Tones and Tone Search is AMPLIFI. Pressing that brought up the list. Thanks for pointing me.
  6. I have so far been unable to copy music files from a PC to the phone. (with a USB cable) I have to remove the added SD drive from the phone to add songs or backing tracks to the phone. I have gone through the KIES programs on the phone and PC. Totally useless.
  7. How about the ability to sort and organize the music library in the app. Folders and stuff.

How to Access the 96 other presets

Thanks for the response. I have searched through the app. Given the complete lack of instruction or a manual I have no idea how to get to the place where I can select a specific preset.
  9. How to Access the 96 other presets so I can use and save them. Android Galaxy s3 Amplifi 75 Thanks. Bill

I wonder if most of us realize these phone or tablet apps are really not robust programs. They are not as sophisticated as PC programs. Not even close. And when you also have no manuals or detailed specs available it is challenging to work with them. But we all keep doing it. Somehow we get by.

    Saving Tones

I kept responding to tickets that weren't helpful until someone (they don't seem to identify themselves) finally nailed it. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling solved the "invalid token" and getting cloud tones. Now I get numerous tones and save the tones I like to MY Tones.

    Saving Tones

Yes I did do a ticket. I got this. Under the music tab, while playing the song a list of similar tones will come up beneath it. Once you select a tone, and edit it to your preference, you can save it by clicking the "save icon" in the top right corner. The icon looks like a box with an arrow in it. I have never seen a single tone after or while playing a half dozen very common guitar pieces including Pride and Joy. Additionally there is no written instruction on what to do to even if you see a tone. So far this is a joke.
  13. In all the sales literature the product is supposed to "instantly" create the tone from the MP3 being played.. This is what I am trying to save, but it doesn't seem to be there. I have seen videos of people creating tones manually. That is not what was advertised and most of us probably don't have the skills to manually create tones,. Bottom line I am playing the song.from my phone. There are no clues to how to save that tone. There are no references to the tone In the app.. I am looking to play the piece on a backing track with no guitar. Using Galaxy S3

Thanks Mike. Problem is I have no tones to try to save. Except for two unknown presets.already saved, wherever they came from.. I do a search for pride an joy and nothing happens. I have to say this is the worst music product I have ever come across. Line6 doesn't seem to care. Look at the lack of participation on the forum. Using Galaxy S3

    Saving Tones

Hi, How do I save a tone of an MP3 being played on the amplifier? For instance, I play a Stevie Ray Vaughn song on the amplifier. I want to save that tone and play my guitar with a backing track that does not have a guitar part. I use Android on a Galaxy S3 Thanks in advance. Bill
