  1. Hi all. I've just purchased an FBV 3 board to go with my Spider IV 75. Firstly, I'm not happy that all the literature I've read before purchasing says the board is compatible with the amp. In reality, as I'm sure many of you are finding, this board is barely properly compatible with anything. Aside from the LEDs not working as advertised, I can't use it to update the firmware on the amp (WTF not?!). I also can't update the firmware on the board at the moment because despite it costing just £20 less than the amp itself, there is no USB cable included. How cheap can you get? I was prepared to make my peace with all that until I plugged it in and found, basically, that it didn't work. I'd have been better off playing catch with a kitchen knife than using the supplied manual, so after much pushing of buttons, and turning on & off suddenly, and for no obvious reason, it started working just fine. That was until I dared to use the tuner via the board. Since then basically every button is either unresponsive or takes 6-7 presses to have any effect. The pedal does not switch between volume & wah. I've tried another Ethernet cable which has had no effect. I might just have been unlucky and got a duff product, but I've read enough to suggest not. Can anyone suggest any way for me to fix it, or suggest why I should keep something that is, essentially, useless. I'm just glad I've kept the packaging. Thanks for your help/advice.
  2. I just plugged in the unit for the first time. I have my guitar plugged in and headphones via plug adapter. I turned on the power and only "A" lights up. Bluetooth didn't respond and no lights around the master volume. I couldn't get any sound through my headphones. Is there anything I can do or should I seek a replacement?
  3. I just picked up a Firehawk FX from GC today and I went to power it up but nothing seems to be happening. The A light is lit and the display back light is on but i cant get it to do anything else. I think it was an open box item because when they give it to me it looked like it was open but they assured me it was fine. I could be doing something wrong but i have done the factory reset, holding the volume button and the tap switch while turning it on, and i have tried the pedal calibration. Let me know if there is something that i am missing. Thank you Erick
  4. I’ve had this happen a few times. I create a new patch using the Helix editor with an amp and two cabs or IRs (or a combination of both) at a split. I’ll try different cabs (single) and IRs looking for a particular sound and even though I can select different cabs and IRs, and I can select different settings, using both my laptop and the Helix rack, the patch doesn’t “see†the cab or IR. It works initially, but then doesn't. I get a sound for the cab/IR that’s muffled, and no matter what cab/IR I select or what settings for them I try, I hear the exact same muffled sound. The Helix shows I am selecting different cabs/IRs and different settings for them, but I hear the exact same sound. I can’t fix the patch, meaning, I can’t get the cabs/IRs to work even if I delete them and add new ones. I assume I can copy a working patch into that slot, but I haven’t bothered with that yet. I did try a reset to factor conditions but this still happens occasionally. I can’t recreate this at will and it happens with very simple patches. I did search the forum for this and saw nothing. Maybe cabs and unresponsive are the wrong search terms. Any thoughts? Thanks!
