braguesa
I don't undestand why my sonic port vx adds so much background noise... I've made a little test:
ArneLine6
In this clip I can hear environmental noise from inside and traffic. It becomes very obvious when you switch from stereo to mono. When you try the same test with another condenser microphone what is the result? We have measured the Sonic Port VX against many other products and its noise performane is very good. What you hear is not coming from Sonic Port VX but from your environment.
braguesa
In this clip I made with another mic you'll ear no noise at all on same room and it's a cheap mic, believe me:
gelico
Hello Line 6 support, Â I'm thinking to buy one. Can you explain the reason of that evident, rain like, noise? Â Thanks
braguesa
Yes, cheap microphones!!!
gelico
I have seen you have the old sonic port. What do you think? Based on your experience is worth to buy the new one if I'm only interested in plug an electric guitar and play with some amps?
braguesa
the vx can be connected to a pc or mac and you can charge your ios device while connected, otherwise is the same device specs.
nichamilton
I think we'd need to hear the VX recording with the recorder compared to another mic with the same recorder to get any real idea as to whether there's an issue (rather than comparing recorder with the VX to uke? with a different mic). Â Â I've never recorded a recorder so can't comment on using the VX with such but I'm very happy with it for recording (rough) vocals and particularly the stereo mic for 12 string guitar. Â It does have a characteristic "sound" compared to my other mics but I've not found noise to be an issue.

nichamilton
Well, I can certainly hear the difference in that comparison....I don't see that noise level with my VX, for what it's worth.
braguesa
Well, it can be a random problem, but I know other guys with exactly same problem! If your device has no noise, you're a lucky guy.
