Malcik
Hi all, I'm using HD500 with headphones, connected via USB to my computer to have backing tracks as background for my playing. It sometimes happens that the HD500 firmware goes crazy somehow and suddenly the guitar sound disappears and only the backing track can be heard. After a few seconds, I might also hear some strange "cracking" noises, as if someone was spinning the guitar cord jack. Or it might be a one-time crack noise similar to what you would hear if you put your headphones on, turn master volume up, and switch the unit on. I always have to reboot the unit to get it working again. A separate issue is that if I switch to tuner with a backing track playing, tune the guitar and then exit the tuner mode, for a fraction of the second after the exit the backing track gets extremely loud. It's as if the the sound got out of control for a short moment and then the unit regained the control again. For these reasons, I'm a bit worried about possible software bugs in the unit. It seems some part of its software can stop working (just like Windows stops working on a PC), causing the unit to behave unexpectedly, namely produce sudden loud sounds which could damage my hearing. Has anything like that happened to you, and do you know what to do about it? Other than this, I'm quite happy with my unit and I don't want to have to replace it. Thanks! silverhead
The Tuner/volume issue was reportedly fixed in the latest firmware. If you haven't yet upgraded to the latest, I suggest that's where you should start.
