I use an HD500, not 500x but I assume it's the same. If so, on the right hand side of the effect block there is a small cross (x). Just click that and it's deleted. silverhead Posted November 13, 2014 Share Posted November 13, 2014 You may be asking about deleting a whole preset rather than just an FX within a preset. There is no way to delete a preset. You replace it with another preset. If you want, you can create what you consider to be an 'empty' preset and use that to replace others. The New Tone preset that occupies all preset slots in the User factory setlists is an example of this. The setlists come 'empty', but there is a preset in every slot. There has to be because a preset is nothing more than a set of organized 1's and 0's in the device memory. To truly delete a preset you would need to remove the associated memory in the device.
