wimpie6
Hi does anyone knows if Sonic Port can be used with Amplitube? I'm doing some research before buying the Sonic Port or the iRig HD. They are about the same price, I prefer the Sonic Port because it comes with free software and possibility to share settings but I have already the Amplitube software with some extra options... can't find this info thnx for the feedback Wim
Nu2moro
The mobile pod app is very limited for creative recording. There is thougj some limited functionality in garage band for recording. At this moment in time mobile pod is by far the most poorly supported guitar app available, this may change, but as there is absolutely no information being submitted on the line 6 forums regarding the app it may be worth investigating before you buy. It's a shame because it sounds fantastic!
Nu2moro
Audiobus support due shortly for the pod app so no need for amplitude :-) Mobile in which is similar to sonic port, works very well as a digital input for other guitar amp apps. wimpie6
thnx for the feedback but this doesn't answer the question ;-) my question: can I use the Line6 Sonic Port interface with Amplitube iOS app anyone? Thnx Wim
silverhead
I do not own Sonic Port, so I am basing this only on the product description of Sonic Port on this website. I think the answer is Yes - you can use it with Amplitube. The info I base this on appears on the Product Overview page:http://line6.com/sonicport/... in the "Plug into iOS Creativity" section, where it says:Sonic Port makes it easy to connect your guitar or bass to your iOS device and start making music. Simply plug your instrument into the 1/4" guitar input, launch GarageBand, the free Line 6 Mobile POD app, or another CoreAudio app, and start playing.... so the question becomes: Is Amplitube a CoreAudio app? I believe it is, but you can ask/research that question in the Amplitube product web info/forum. Update: I did a very quick and dirty search re: Amplitube and CoreAudio. There seems to be conflicting information. You should research this question yourself. The result will answer your question about Sonic Port and AMplitube. rchibnik
Works fine. Amplitude does not give you many amps for free - but it looks like a sweet program once you buy the add ons. Sounded great through my PA - SonicPort did not add any noise to the equation.
Nu2moro
Mobile in works with amplitude. As sonic port is similar and supports core audio, I see no reason why it shouldn't ;-)
forgottenrebel
Summer 2013 and one still cannot record line 6 tones on an IOS device...truly pathetic! I don't care about just playing with these tones, I want to record them into a multitrack app like Auria ( anything but crappy garage band that is) and most everyone else's products can do this except line 6 !
Nu2moro
Forgottenrebel I share your frustration and anger about the lack of support line6 have given to Mobile in/ Mobile pod. Lets hope with this new gadget they will sort some basic recording functionality with the inclusion of audiobus support :-)
