waxxman
I'm totally new to JTV's so hopefully this is just a stupid user error.... I'm trying to create an open G tuning - DGDGBG. But when I attempt to save the tuning in one of my Custom 2 slots, Workbench says that it has lost contact with the guitar and that I need to power cycle the guitar. I just click on the refresh button in the software and try to write the changes again and I get the following error: An exception was caught. cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager$DeviceNotConnectedException: null App info: Variax Workbench 1.75 release - build 121 - Mon Jul 9 07:39:16 PDT 2012 Date: 11/17/14 12:36 PM In thread: L6Thread - 'Sync Device - task' - started at line6editbase.app.L6EditorApp.StartDeviceTask - line -1 OS: Windows 8.1 (6.3 x86) Java VM Version: 1.7.0_55 Stack trace: cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager$DeviceNotConnectedException at cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager.AcquireDevice(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager.BeginSendPatchBlock_Sync(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager.BeginPatchBlockSend(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager.Synchronize(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.patch.L6PatchManager.Synchronize_Write(Unknown Source) at line6editbase.app.L6EditorApp$SyncDeviceTask.DoTask(Unknown Source) at line6editbase.app.L6EditorApp$DeviceTask.Task(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.core.L6MonitoredTask$TaskThread.Run(Unknown Source) at cmn.l6java.core.L6Thread.run(Unknown Source) Is this a flaky Windows 8.1 thing? When I installed the software I allowed it to install Java. The tunings were the main reason I bought this guitar. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
