bm68826
Hi I'm new to line 6 and recently bought a spider valve hd100 half stack and a fbv shortboard mkii. I am having trouble downloading guitar tones. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial video or help me out with step by step directions. Also does the spider valve hd100 have a loop function. I have seen some amp heads with a quick loop button mine does not have that
fflbrgst
Did you register the amp and FBV on the Line 6 webstie? Did you download Spider Monkey? That is the programs that updates and installs other Line 6 software. However, The HD100 is an older model, and does not offer tone download capability nor does ihave a looper. bm68826
Yes I have registered my gear on the line 6 web site. I have not downloaded spider monkey yet. Once that is done can I download different tones? Also it's it possible to hook a looper pedal into the fbv shortboard?
TheRealZap
i think you need at least a spider valve mkII to use the downloaded tones and editor....

The HD100 is not capable of using downloaded tones - it is an older model that does not have that capability. The FBV Shortboard is a controller only - there are no audio signals going in/out of it - it just controls the FX and parameters of the amp. To use a looper with this amp, plug your guitar into the looper input and then the looper output to the amp.
bm68826
Is it possible to change and save the settings on the factory pre sets? Or do I just dial in the sound I want and save that? Are there any tutorial videos that will show me how to change arrangement of the pre sets on the pedal? Thanks for your help
fflbrgst
Here is the manual, if you haven't read it over yet: http://l6c-acdn.line6.net/data/6/0a060b316ac34f05935d6c78e/application/pdf/Spider%20Valve%20User%20Manual%20(%20Rev%20A%20).pdf You can save 4 patches in the A B C and D locations on the amp, these are what you would access via the FBV's patch select buttons.
