jesuscares
Here is a link for a tone similar to what I am looking for from the X# or Spider valve. Of course this tone can be refined with added sustain. But I love that nasal tubey sound. What amp models would best suit? How do i get this tone & eq setting. My eleven rack SS Solo (Soldano) sounds similar & far better too. If anyone can share their x3 or spider valve tones that are similar, please do. shredjsx
I just recently using these forms because I never Six had one. I have to tell you I still have my X3, but it's in a case because of my hd500x now... There are a tone of tones, or were on the custom tone site for the X3... I bought the additional amp packs and got some great tones out of it, from a VH peavey tone to a Valve King, I love peavey Amps... You just got to take your time, use your PC program with it, it helps a lot... Start with an amp that by discription in the HUGE X3 manual that best fits the overall makeup or design of the amp ( example, 6l6 or el34 power tubes) Then set all of the bass mid treble and presence knobs to 12 o'clock and find the right cab that gets close... Then start adjusting the eq... It's all in your ear ultimately bro... I got used to doing all of my settings right from the X3, like I do I my 500... So I can create a tone on the fly... There is no perfect majic to downloading a preset that's gonna give you the tone you want... However learning to tweek and set it up yourself will work wonders... There are so many variables than can cause some downloaded tone to not give you what you want, like the cab or amp you are using with it, the speakers ect... It's really best to try yourself bro
shredjsx
Hey, I went thru a backup drive of mine and I have a ton of X3 tones... Don't know how I could get them to you, I had the metal pack and a classic amp and effects pack installed too
