tjontheroad
Is the "Factory Reset" optional or not after firmware update? I keep reading it's required or at least highly recommended. Yet, it is stated in the release notes as optional. Please, what is the correct answer and why? Thanks
phil_m
You shouldn't need to do the factory reset. It's not a bad idea to do the global settings reset, though.

Thanks for your reply. May I ask what is the advantage of doing the global reset?
duncann
How do you reset just the global settings?
phil_m
How do you reset just the global settings? Hold FS5 + FS6 while booting up. You can also reset all the global settings by using the command in the global settings menu. Again, though, I don't think it's necessary.
