tkwatts
Hi I'd be very grateful for any thoughts anyone has on the Amplifi TT USB please. I bought a new laptop, and very helpfully it has a joint headphone/mic jack. Previous, to play along to my itunes library or Guitar Pro, I'd had the headphones coming from that jack and the amplifi output going into the mic jack. Now that I can't do that, I've tried using the USB input (headphones coming out of laptop jack) but it's incredibly laggy so that's no good. I read another forum post saying that the amplifi could be used as a soundcard and that I should be able to play itunes, or whatever's on the computer through the TT and plug headphones into the TT to avoid any lag. Can I (and if so - how?) pump through either itunes or Guitar Pro to the TT so everything comes out of the TT headphone jack together? Alternatively, is there something I can do to sort out the lag and use the USB as the input? Thanks for any suggestions
Triryche
The lag you are hearing is a function of your laptop's hardware and any software processing. You should be monitoring directly from your TT by plugging your monitors, speakers, and or headphones directly to the TT. If you have the latest firmware and USB drivers, just set the TT as your default sound device and you should hear all sounds from your laptop. tkwatts
Thanks for your reply - that's what I'm trying to do, but I just get nothing coming through the TT (aside from the guitar). Is there any guidance anywhere on how to do that, for the technologically challenged such as myself?

Is there any guidance anywhere on how to do that, for the technologically challenged such as myself? I don't own an Amplifi TT (I have the Amplifi 75), so I can't say 100%, but I'm pretty sure that the USB port on the TT is out only. Meaning it's not an input. It's used to relay the output of the TT to your computer for recording. The RCA and Toslink jacks are outputs only as well. There's no Aux In jack to route audio to the TT. I'm pretty sure the only way to play your music through the TT is by streaming through bluetooth.
tkwatts
I think I have it, setting the defaults seemed to work this time. The levels aren't great (guitar much louder than anything I can get from the computer) but it does seem to work without the dreadful lag.
