Aelpee
Hey all!I have a big problem with my tone while recording on a pod hd 500 through usb. There is this wierd scratchy kind of a vinyl like sound underneath everything I play. I'd appreciate it alot if you could take a quick listen and tell me if it's normal with the unit and if it's not what could be some possible causes for it. This has not been a problem while using the pod live on the FX loop of my tube amp. Thanks for the help! Link to the example (guitar starts around 00:19 and you can hear the problem straight away):https://www.dropbox.com/s/2c6b968dun7r99a/idea3.mp3?raw=
silverhead
Make sure you set your Pod output mode to Studio when recording.
pfsmith0
Also make sure your PC/DAW is set to the same sample rate as your HD500.
Aelpee
Thank you for all the replies! I'll try them out and see if it works. :) Make sure you set your Pod output mode to Studio when recording. Just out of curiosity. What output mode should I set the pod to if my signal chain is: guitar --> pod hd guitar in --> pod output to audio interface input --> audio interface to a pc through usb (sometimes I use it like this at my friends place while recording). Is it still studio even if I don't use the pod as an interface?
