zooey
I had an idea to a 'Higher' footswitch, which jacks up a bunch of unrelated footswitchable blocks, regardless of what they do, or what parameter(s) need to be changed how. I've got it set up and working fine, but I can't figure out how to edit its scribble strip text. I have another footswitch that toggles two blocks at once (no controllers) where I was able to change its scribble lable, but either I don't remember how, or it's different when parameters are assigned to the footswitch, not blocks, or when parameters from multiple blocks are assigned, or something. When I try to edit it, it seems to be cycling through the labels for the single-assignment footswitches that toggle the fx the Higher switch is supposed to turn up, not the label for the multi-controller switch. If it's not clear what I meant by that, I'll try again. So remind me, how do you edit the scribble strip for a footswitch with multiple controller assignments? ricksteruk
Press the menu - go to Command Center. Use the joystick to select the footswitch in question. Knob 6 will be labelled "Customise" - hit that then type in the name and select colour :)

zooey
So, related, kinda... Is the only way to customize the scribble strip for a footswitch that only changes parameters to temporarily assign it to turn a block on and off, hit Customize from there, then remove the block on-off assignment? I can't find any other path to that Customize screen for that case.
Digital_Igloo
Doesn't matter what's assigned to the footswitch, it can still be named from the Command Center screen. The only reason you couldn't customize a scribble strip is if nothing's assigned to it.
zooey
Hmmm, true, weird. I'm sure I checked there, but maybe I was confused about which footswitch I was dealing with and nothing was assigned to the one I was looking at. Thanks.
