donaldw32
Just used helix for church rehearsal,I play bass.No amp just ran to the PA with xlr. The sound was not as loud as normal and there was a lot of static or hissing noise.Had to run guitar to DI just to finish practice.Could it be a bad cable or have i set it up wrong?Sounded fine at home through an amp and a powered monitor. DoeWoe
Do you know if there was phantom power on? If the board had phantom power on your channel it needs to be turned off or else you'll get a really bad hiss.
jshoenfelt
I noticed this with mine at church, I ran 1/4" into a direct box and lifted the ground, then I made sure my master volume was at least at 50% and that seemed to take care of the issue.
