zynamoon3377
I am new to sonic port vx and want to use it with reaper and my pc for recording vocals bass and keyboards. I am able to use vocals but not bass or keyboards. I believe it is a driver issue. Where do I get the proper drivers I need and how to install them properly. I am using windows 8 64 bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
silverhead
Are you connecting your bass and keyboard to the Sonic Port VX or recording them via the VX mic? If connecting them, describe the connection you are using.
zynamoon3377
Well I now have this issue fixed. But now have another issue. After downloading the correct drivers for sonic and now the sound actually shows up as it should "asio" and sonic shows up for all in preferences "using PC" Now when I try to record the sound it much different and when I record the volume has to be turned up HIGH to even hear the vocals when recorded. Before the sound was incredible and the vocals were as well. I am getting so discouraged, I am trying to get back into making music with old bandmates and this is slowing me down. Please help! silverhead
What recording program are you using? Is it configured to use Sonic Port as the audio device? Are you recording the 'dry' vocal signal, or are you processing it with something like Pod Farm, or VSTs in your DAW?
zynamoon3377
I am using reaper and yes. Under preferences is ASIO, driver is ASIO SONIC PORT VX, enable inputs checked, SONIC PORT for all 4, allow projects to override checked, audio thread ASIO default. But for some reason I canNOT click on the APPLY button it wont let me. The sound of vocals is very faint and sounds like im in a tin barrell. Plus the overall sound is much thinner when I import the waves I am putting vocals to. Almost like the Bass and the drums and non existant. Everything was fine just a little while ago.
