Chris_Squier
Hello, Just got my Helix today and wanted to download the latest update first thing. I go to http://line6.com/software/, select Helix as the software, click Beta (as I discovered in another post) and click the Go button. That takes me here: http://line6.com/software/index.htmlwhich gives me instructions on how to install the update. This is all good except the link to download the Helix Editor needed to get this update going sends me right back to here: http://line6.com/software/ Where I started. I tried clicking the "Read More" on the Helix v2.01 update new item with the same results. I created an account thinking that the link is hidden until I log in.... same issue. Can someone please provide an actual link to download the latest editor? In the mean time, I had accidentally modified one of the global settings, tried to do a global reset and restore and now the unit is locked up and won't boot fully. After a few seconds the helix graphic stops scrolling on the screen and just sits there. Any ideas how to jump start that back to working order? I'm really bummed, I didn't even plug the guitar in before I started the update process. :( Chris
silverhead
The actual link is reached from the Downloads page by selecting 'Helix' in the drop down menu for the middle field of the form - where it says '- All Software -' Do not click the Beta button. After reading the v2.01 installation instructions you will see a Get Download button at the bottom of the frame. Click on this to download an installer file. When the download is complete, run the installer file. It will install three components on your computer: the Helix editor/app, the Line 6 Updater program, and the driver. After the installation is complete connect your Helix via USB to your computer and continue following the instructions from step 5 on (run the Line 6 Updater program and proceed). Since your Helix is new to you you don't need to perform Step 2 of the installation instructions.
