TheGearFiles
I am looking for a multi fx and was looking into the firehawk FX, I want to use it in conjunction with a couple other pedals and my amps, but I only want to use it as a multi fx, delay, reverb, chorus etc etc. Could I use it as such? Or will the amp models mess with it and I would have to use them for gain and all that? Cause I want to use all my amps tones but just want a multi fx for Chrous and such. Thanks! dalto
You can set the amp and cabinet modeling to "No Amp" and "No Cabinet". If you haven't already you can install the app so you can get a feel for how it works even without the physical device.
c00lkatz
Find something else. Get an M13 or similar. I tried the Firehawk as a multi Fx and it fell so short. Was more of a pain to use the app than I had anticipated, onboard editing sucks, and it messed with my tone no matter what settings I tried (and yes of course I turned off amp and cabinet modeling). Please, skip the Firehawk for multi-FX only use. If all you need is chorus, delay, reverb and similar, you can find pedals to do as such used for as much or cheaper than the Firehawk and be so much farther ahead. Tcamponovo
You can turn the amp models off on firehawk and go straight into the amp using effects only. Still, the easiest way to do this is to set up the effects on the app, then store them on the FH via bluetooth. Using the app to switch sounds in real time can be a bit risky. More chance of human error!
vmoncebaiz
You might look at the M9 or the M13, depending on how many FX you want at a time. They are only FX, so you are not paying for amp modeling that you won't use. They offer more flexibility in your signal chain and a greater number of FX that can be switched in and out in each preset. They are also very easy to set up with no need for an app based editor.
