Hello all, my hd 500x LCD display screen brightness has gone very dim, it's like a brightness control has been turned down (but the unit doesn't have one only a contrast adjustment). the screen appears to be a dull light blue colour not white as it was, I have looked all over the internet looking for a solution, but it appears no one has had this fault .the rest of the unit works OK apart from this fault. It is 9 month old and before I take it back to the retailer, I thought I would ask here as someone may know of this fault and may have the answer. Thank you.

Thank you silverhead for your quick response , I never thought about the power supply as the rest of the unit works ok , the nearest alternative supply I have tried is a t- rex power brick , but at 1.5 amps the screen only flashes and no switch lights come on, so I'll probably need to take it back to the retailer to confirm it is this with another working power supply, the unit is still under warranty but hope it is the power supply as I wouldn't really want them to send the unit away, as not to cause possible damage to the unit via the shipping. Thanks again for your quick response, and if any one else has had this problem, please post your fault and solution . Thanks to all, ......... I'm now going for a drink.......cheers ,Kevin from the UK.

An update of the above fault, I switched the pod on this morning and the LCD screen came on as normal, now I don't know weather it got wind that I had posted on this great forum that it is now behaving itself,or the fact I threatened it with a big stick like a mad Basil Fawlty , I've turned it on and off a couple of times and still seems ok ( very strange)
