WillM96
So, I have a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with a Marshall 412 cabinet that is hooked up to the HD500x, via 4 cable method. I just bought a Shure sm57 mic. and want to record guitar ONLY. No vocals just guitar and bass. I have watched some vidoes many times no help. Looked at forums many times no help. I have discovered, after hooking the mic into the MIC IN, that my mic. is sending sound out through the amp and not recording what I play. Am I missing certain equipment or setting somewhere? I'm kinda frustrated with this so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
BillBee
If I read the above correct: The mic in should route the vocals out the HD into what you have set the output to (like your amp). Unless you have a second path setup for the mic and route its output to something else. Now if you mean you are just trying to record vocals into your DAW then it might be a setup up question for the DAW or HD. The sound coming out of the amp is normal as the HD becomes the soundcard and is using the amp as the monitors. -B
