Garf13ld
Title says it all. Just want to know because I'm plugging it into the FX return of my tube guitar amp, which has an FX loop with switchable levels.
phil_m
Well, the Helix returns are switchable between instrument and line level. At line level, they're closer to +4dBu. Instrument level is actually lower than -10dBv - it's more like -22dBv iirc. Anyway, I'd just experiment with both. I think I'd be inclined to try instrument level on the Helix and -10dBv on the amp first, just because the signal running through the Helix internally is instrument level and every time you boost it, you add a little more noise. It's usually best to just have single boost at the end of the signal, f possible.
