steven7todd
I have a sequencer that I've used historically to send MIDI signal to guitar pedals (digital delays and the like) to set the tempo on the delays to be in conjunction with the sequencer. This was the first feature I looked into when messing around with a Helix for the first time last night and I found that I was unable to send from my sequencer into the Helix and it looks like it's on account of there being no MIDI clock feature. Do you suppose this is because the Helix is designed to the master, not the slave?
phil_m
The Helix can't do either (slave or master) at the moment. I suspect it's only a matter of time before it's added.
soundog
Also of note, the Helix is supposed to currently receive a MIDI CC command to set tempo via a "Tap Tempo" feature. This would allow you to send a fixed tempo to the Helix and have it set its tempo accordingly. However, the feature isn't working correctly, and Line 6 has mentioned they will fix it in the future. After that bug is fixed and MIDI clock support is added, we should have some good stuff available for MIDI synching.
