LAJO111
Hi! I'm new here and having a hopefully simple question about Toneport UX2. My friend got the Toneport UX2 from another friend because her children want to start making music, but no one knows how long they will find this fun, therefore she tries to get a cheap start with used items. I tried to help her install the soundcard, with new driver from Line6, and got it working as far as at it shows in Ableton and Cubase, and it plays sound from the computer to the monitors. The problem is that I can't get it to register any signal from any external instrument. I tried the line input with keyboard and xlr input with a microphone (with and without 48V). I switched all components (mic, cable etc) from my own recording interface (zoom r16) where it worked fine, to the input of the Toneport, and then there is no signal. I have a strong feeling that I'm missing something simple here, since everything with the interface seems to work fine. Am I supposed to use any other software to route inputs, or for any other reason? I hope there is something easy that you can help me with! Regards, Patrik (from Sweden, in case you wonder about some strange language errors)
LAJO111
Well, I see now that there is a special category just for Toneport, but I hope someone find this question here anyway. :)
silverhead
Note that you also need to connect your monitors to the Toneport outputs in order to hear the signal. The Toneport becomes your computer's soundcard, bypassing your computer's internal soundcard.
BillBee
You will need to install Pod Farm as well - either PF1 or PF2 depending on the UX2 - (redface UX = PF1 btw). There is a mixer page where you will select your input. For example set it to mic for the (well) mic. :) The manual is pretty decent too.

Thanks for the answer! You will need to install Pod Farm as well - either PF1 or PF2 depending on the UX2 - (redface UX = PF1 btw). There is a mixer page where you will select your input. And you are right, I am sure this was described in the manual, so reading that would have been a good start before posting here. I appreciate very much that you took your time to answer, thanks again!
JamesWLine6
Hi there, I have currently purchased a UX2 with Pod farm 2, But I cannot get it to process any sound even though I have run licence manager, every time I turn it on it tells me, UX2 Not Authorized for this Computer, even though Licence manager says it is Authorized, any help would really be appreciated as this is for my business, or if you can redirect me to a forum that has this topic? Regards James.
