M13 Outputs signals mix all signals from FX return Loop in the Center of the stereo field

Here is my problem:

 

I have a signal pan Left and another pan right. The mix remains OK as long as I don't send them back to the M13 FX Return Loop. As soon as I do this, M13 Outlets just pan both signal in the center of the stereo fields!!!!

 

Is my unit faulty or is it a general problem with these units?

I've just found the problem: I had to put a noise gate at the end of M13 and it changed the signal to mono... It was a POD X3 Live outputs that was feeding its loop return. Changed from X3 outputs to Phones from X3 to feed the M13 & it lower the noise considerably.

 

Anyone as an idea why the outputs of pod X3 are much more noisy then the Phone Out?
