Hello, Folks,   I am confused.....

updated firmware on helix floor to 2.20  seemingly successfully.

Editor says " Firmware 2.20", so this  talks about the Floor unit, right?.

Ok., how can i find out, which Editor  Version I`m using?.

Or,  did i automatically install the newest Editor along with  the  new Firmware?

Thanks for advice

Click on the "Help" > "About Helix" link in the upper left-hand menu of the Editor to see the Editor version. As you correctly pointed out the Firmware version is not the same as the Editor version and it is the Firmware version that is displayed below  (not in) the menu.

If you have not done it already make sure you download and install the latest "Helix" app version which includes the latest Editor, Updater, and Windows driver(if on Windows OS). The latest Editor version is 2.20. It is a good idea to double check your Editor and firmware version this way after every upgrade, and make sure you have the version of the Editor that matches your firmware.

Note: The version numbers for the Editor and firmware are usually but have not always been the same for matched pairs of firmware and Editor; in other words the version of the Editor that must be used for that version of the firmware.  This will probably change in the near future when Line6 modifies their upgrade process.

If you are using a Windows PC, the Editor's version will be displayed in the About menu (just like the majority of Windows Applications). The number displayed in the upper left of the Editor screen, is the firmware version running on the connected Helix.

The Helix Floor displays the Firmware version during the power on sequence. The firmware version is also displayed in Global Settings.

If you did the full install of the entire software package, you will have the latest 2.20 version Editor installed and be good to go! FWIW, it is always important to be using the latest concurrent versions of firmware on the device and Editor on the computer. Hopefully, from this point onward Line 6 will use identical numbering methods for the device firmware and Editor. Perhaps they will also adopt a similarly identical numbering scheme with the Updater software.

The only real way to find out what editor you have is to Unplug your helix from your computer.

Now open the Editor without the Helix connected. At the top left in the editor window  (Windows) you will see a "Help" tab. Click on that and then click on "About Helix".  (MAC) click the “Helix†letters at the top left of the screen and then click “About Helixâ€. A screen will pop up and at the very top you'll see what editor you have. I've been using this script to help some of my customers who were convinced they had the latest editor.
