Thinking about selling my UX2

Recommended Posts

The Pod Farm license that came with your UX2 will carry forward with the device. If you now need the UX2 device connected to your computer in order for Pod Farm to run, this will remain true - and the new owner will be able to simply download the licensed version of Pod Farm and install/run it. Line 6 Monkey will help him/her with that. You don't need to do anything but it would be courteous for you to remove / de-register the UX2 from your Line 6 account after you sell it. That will simplify the new owner's registration.

That will leave you without Pod Farm unless you purchase a license separately or buy another Line 6 audio interface that includes Pod Farm again.

Thanks Silverhead.

I do think I have a separate license for Pod Farm 2 as follows.  Am I correct?

This software should appear in all your Authorized devices that support the add-on. Bass Expansion Collector Classics FX Junkie POD Farm 2

Yes, you do have a Pod Farm license. The questoin is did you actually purchase a separate Pod Farm license or have you been using the license that came bundled with the UX2? The info you provided above would be the same in both cases.

It seems you purchased the expansion packs, but what about the underlying Pod Farm itself? If you did not purchase a separate license then the bundled license you have is valid only when the UX2 is connected. No UX2, no Pod Farm - which renders your expansion packs useless.

Thanks again Silverhead.  You answered my question.  I use Pod Farm every week, but haven't used the UX2 in years.  So I'm good to go.
