buddachile
I posted a suggestion on the Helix's Ideascale site some here might find of interest. (Also posted this message on thegearpage.net.) Basically, I think it would be great if the Vermin on the Helix had the popular/useful ProCo RAT mods incorporated into it. They should be accessible via the following new parameters:* Diode Clipping:- normal clipping (default)- no diode clipping- asymmetrical clipping* Diode type:- silicon (default)- germaniumPersonally, I have a Black Plague (old CMAT MODS Rat clone with mods) and use it mostly in "no diode clipping mode" and want that tone inside the Helix. vmoncebaiz
I like the sound of that. I think having all sorts of different, popular, modded versions of pedals would be an awesome thing. I never got along with the physical original Rat, so I never explored the mods. I've heard of a few players that have used it and sounded great, and I'm thinking no way that was the same pedal I had. I remember hating the BOSS blues driver, and thought the Keeley version was a crazy improvement. Even if it wasn't a separate model in Helix, having a switch for modded versions would be cool. buddachile
Also would be cool if the Helix's Fuzz Face had germanium and silicon transistor modes.
