Hello Guys,

im pretty happy with my Helix by now but there are various things that still disappoint.

For example the Wah effects.

There are various Wah effect blocks but they all sound pretty weak and dont even differ very much from each other.

Do you have some tips on how to improve the sound of the Wah effect blocks.

I mean yeah they do there job but it still isn't the best Wah effect.

I would appreciate a Wah effect block that works like the Dunlop Rack wah where you can customize

the frequencies and stuff.

You probably know this, but you can change the min and max frequencies of most (all?) of the Helix wahs.

However, that's about all you can change. In particular, you can't change the "Q" -- the amount of filter resonance or peaking that happens at the filter frequency. That's super surprising to me, since the Q of a lowpass filter like a wah is a hugely important and fundamental filter parameter, and one of the major differentiators between wahs. Some real-world wahs even let you adjust it.

You also can't change how steep the filter is.

Wish you could change both of those.

Yep I tried to play with the freq. parameters but all in all its not very pleasant what you get from that.

The Wah all sound pretty classic and i need a way more modern sounding and more aggressive Wah.

So i'd like to see something like that in a future update. I already did such a request in ideascale.

Yeah, I've had to decrease the high frequency in most of the wahs; too "ice pick to the ear." I've had to decrease the wah volumes in several cases too. I don't use wahs a lot, so they're good enough for me now, but if you're a wah fanatic, Helix could definitely use some more flexibility in that department.
