salty09
I tried to find another thread about this and did not find anything with the search. Is anyone else using external pedals in the effects loops and on version 2.20 and now getting a delay in sound when switching the pedals on via an assigned footswitch on the Helix? I did not have this problem before 2.20. It makes it impossible to use the loops for external pedals that I turn on and off.
phil_m
You mean a delay as in a latency of some sort, or a delay in the loop being turned on when you hit the switch?
salty09
The loop appears to turn on as soon as I hit the switch, but the sound does not come through for a few milliseconds. Like there is a noticeable absence of the pedal changing the sound after letting off the switch and seeing the blocks status change to on. Does that make sense? So I am playing along, go to kick on a pedal in the loop using the Helix switch assigned to that loop, I see the loop status change, and I play a couple more moments before the effect is heard. phil_m
There is a known bug in 2.20 where turning on blocks with a footswitch introduces a slight lag... I suspect that may be what you're hearing. If you turn on a block with a snapshot change instead, it should be immediate. But, anyway, Line 6 is aware of the bug and is working on a fix. salty09
Okay, thanks for the heads up on that. I hope it gets resolved pretty quickly, I don't have a show until July, so I can deal with it until then. :)
