Bob Marley tone

Hello folks,

I've been given a task by my instructor to play a reggae solo over a backing. Any ideas/tips or do any of you have a patch you would be willing to share for a Bob Marley solo sound?

Thanks

I believe Junior Marvin played through a Roland JC-120, and some of Bob's other guitarist used Twins a long with a few other cleanish amps .A Twin plus an overdrive pedal, definitely some wah, and perhaps some reverb and possibly delay to taste is a good starting point. Let me know if you need any more assistance!

I'd try the Script Mod Phase in front of an amp running a little dirty, maybe a Fender or the Silvertone? That solo's not as clean as what I was thinking of, which is more the JC120 hyper-clean thing.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I've always just used my own sound, clean, crunch, dirty and filthy but now I'm getting more into the labyrinth that is tone chasing and the big thing is learning how each effect affects the tone and works with other effects.

Cheers
