kfJvJ
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm looking for tips on emulating a particular guitar sound with my HD400. It's a bright, somewhat overdriven guitar sound that's found in a lot of J-Rock from the 90's/2000's.Here's some examples: If anyone has any tips, it would be much appreciated (or, if you think there is a better place to post this, that would be appreciated too). Thanks
pianoguyy
9 minutes of music and we are to know which part you are referring to? For example, in the first song, the lead line sounds like someone is using a neck pickup with the tone knob turned to 0, with the solo (I assume the same guitar) sounds like it adds a wah that is somewhere between the middle and heel down. But then you also have the muted guitar lines. Or the chording guitar. And the second song sounds like a single coil guitar - like a Stratocaster. Could you narrow it down for us? kfJvJ
Now that I think about it, I guess the sounds are more different than I thought. I guess I'm looking for two distinct sounds. The first one is the lead guitar from song 1 (comes in around 0:10). The second is the rhythm of song 2 (also comes in around 0:10).
kfJvJ
Anyone else have advice on this?
Atrain_dlp
You'll have to work on duplicating those tones with your own gear. With all the amps and pedals the POD had to offer, there are probably many ways to get close. If it was me, I'd probably start with the jcm800 or the Park.
