Tehzim
I live in a house with housemates so I have to keep the volume at a loud talk. My Blackstar Fly 3 is considered pretty loud if I crank it. Part of the reason to get a Helix is to get full volume tones at very low volumes. I had initially planned to use my headphone monitors (Audio Technica ATH-M50x). But I found these and I wondered if they wouldn't also be a good alternative. Still saving up for my Helix (it's going to take a month or so). Thanks again guys. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Control2PSor should I go the next tier up and get a pair of LSRs?https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/LSR305
MusicLaw
For their price, the JBL Control 2P are impressive. The JBL LSR305 near field Studio Monitors are in an entirely different league. The LSR305 (and LSR308) Studio Monitors are phenomenal and work exceptionally well with the Helix. I had sets of both LSRs and a pair of Yamaha HS8 to compare for several weeks. I preferred the JBL LSR308. The others went back. The LSR308s are my near field monitors for the Helix Floor.
