CraigGT
I caught my USB plug with my foot the other night and broke the plastic spacer from the centre of it. Luckily I found the piece and superglued it back in place and it seems to be ok for now. I have ordered a right angle cable though which should prevent it happening again. hideout
But does the connector on the Helix still work?
CraigGT
It didn't without the plastic piece because that provides the pressure for the connections but it is working with it glued back in. The idea behind getting a right angle cable is that It wouldn't be able to put as much leverage on the socket. Craig

CraigGT
I think I'll order a new one anyway, it looks like a simple enough soldering job.
mikisb
You already opened the Helix? Had the same problem with my HD500 and it was not an easy job to me to change the USB socket cause of all the smd parts around its solder points. No idea if the Heliy is easier to maintain in this point.
