Exoderm
Hi guys, i've always had a problem with the clean tones with the 500X but the drive tones are awesome could this be due to the long cables I am using? 10 ft from guitar to 500X, 10 ft from 500X to Audio Interface, 10 ft from Audio Interface to StageSource. Not sure if this is a dumb question but is it ok to add a buffer before the 500X to solve my clean tones issue? Is the 500X true bypass or is it buffered? pfsmith0
10ft of cable should minimal impact on your tone.

Exoderm
10ft of cable should minimal impact on your tone. Mine is a total of 30ft cable length.
pfsmith0
To support hurghanico's statement, you have a buffer between the 10' cables. This acts to isolate the cables form each other. You won't get the same degradation as a 30' cable. It'll look more like a single 10' cable.
