Ipad to firehawk fx usb connection

Hi

1. I’m trying to connect my iPad to my fx unit via the USB port, ie without using Bluetooth. But despite having the correct cable, the fx app on my iPad states, ‘device not connected’. Can’t find any info on how of if it is possible to use iPad app with a cable connected to fx unit. Any ideas?

Have used iPad and fx unit via Bluetooth and all is well but for poor WiFi here, hence the option for a ‘wired’ connection would be useful

2. As the fx doesn’t have a 3.5mm input (like the hd500 had), can the usb on the fx unit be used as an input for an old iPod

Many thanks

The USB port on the FH FX is for connection to a PC/Mac computer, not an iOS device. It is for installing firmware from a computer rather than via Bluetooth. There is no other USB capability with Firehawk FX. There is no computer-based editor for Firehawk FX; just the mobile app.
