Helix Rack and Routing in Reaper

Hi.

 

I'm using Helix Rack connect to my Windows 10 computer via USB.  Helix Rack has 2 sets of monitors connected.  1 pair of monitors to XLR outs. and 1 pair of monitors to line outs.  

 

In Reaper device settings, I've select all inputs (8) and all outputs (8).

 

I'm trying to route my Master mix in Reaper to either line outs or XLR outs.  But I can only seem to route my master mix to all 4 speakers at the same time.  If I select source 1/2 to output 1/2, all 4 speakers play.  If I select source 1/2 to output 3/4 or 5/6 or 7/8 I hear nothing.

 

Any suggestions?

To get the Helix to take input from USB channels and route it to different outputs, you need to make a patch to facilitate that. Create a patch with two paths. Path 1, set the input source as USB 1/2, output block to XLR. Path 2 input from USB 3/4, output to 1/4".

 

Then in Reaper, you can set the routing to USB 1/2 or 3/4 for the desired monitor path.
