aaronlyon
I have an HX Effects unit, and I have customized the name of a block. Now I want to erase my custom name, reverting to the default effect name. Here's what the user manual says on page 13: Press the DELETE switch to delete the selected character and shift all following characters to the left. Delete all characters to remove the custom label, after which the footswitch label displays its normal assignment. While pressing DELETE does indeed delete all the characters, when I press Save, I just have a blank field where the name should be. Can anyone get this process to work correctly? VirtualGuitars
Just go change that block to another effect and then put your desired effect back. Then it should default to the name of the new effect rather than a custom name when you assign it to a footswitch.
aaronlyon
Sure, that works, but it's not a good solution, because then you lose your custom effect settings.

You could also just re-associate it with the footswitch which should then go back to the default name of the effect.
aaronlyon
Yes, that works. Forgot to mention, I'm using firmware 2.50.
