soundog
The Snapshot Automation feature is working as described in the manual for Logic Pro 10.3.x, but it doesn't work here for Logic Pro X 10.4 (under Sierra). You can only automate Knobs and Switches, but not the other stuff that has been added (such as Snapshots). Also, only Switch 1 - 12 (and not 13 - 16) appear in the available list. I submitted a ticket... Is Snapshot automation working OK for others using Logic Pro 10.4?
soundog
Update: heard back from Line 6, this has now been logged as a bug. There is a simple workaround ... just change the plug-in View (upper right, by sidechain selector) from Helix View to Editor. All the new parameters such as Snapshots appear there, and you can select what you want to automate. I've found you usually have to make a selection (e.g. highlight "1") in the Editor list for it to initiate communication to the Logic Pro automation lane. After that, you can select 1 - 8 snapshots in the lane. If you still have problems getting Snapshots, try putting the automation lane in Touch or Latch mode first. Gotta say the support folks are on the ball and responded really quickly.
Tabjaker
Thanks. I use L 10.4 myself. But haven't had time to download the new Helix.
