MJStadz Posted March 26, 2018 Share Posted March 26, 2018 I'm trying to update my firmware for my Helix LT the first time and I have downloaded both the Updater and HXEdit - Updater tells me to use HX Edit but I can't use that because my firmware is only 2.12.2. And I need at least 2.20 to use Line 6 Updater so I am getting nowhere. Can anyone help? silverhead Posted March 26, 2018 Share Posted March 26, 2018 When you run the Hx Edit installer you should also select the option to install the latest Line 6 Update program and driver. You do need firmware v.2.20 or greater to use the HX Edit program but the Updater program should work with v2.12.2. If you don't want to backup any existing presets you should be able to update the firmware. Are you saying you have tried to update and it is failing? If so, please describe exactly what happens. However, if you want to back up any existing presets before updating you should open a support ticket with Line 6. The old Helix editor was a program/app called Helix (replace by HX Edit as of firmware v2.20). I don't see this in the Downloads section any longer.
