Hi, I`m using a HD500X for recording into my daw,  and in the line 6 settings in my laptop the default bit depth is 24bit is that correct?, as I have an option of setting it to 32bit, I would have thought the best quality available would have been default.

Just curious as to which one others are using.

Thankyou.

T.

OK thanks again guys, was just curious as it gave me an option for 16bit (which I would`nt have chosen anyway) 24bit and also 32bit.

When you say 24bit is the max do you mean that is all that`s showing up in yours ? mine definitely goes to 32bit, but my daw goes to 32bit also, I wonder if that`s why it`s showing me that.

Anyway 24bit is enough ha ha.

Thanks again.

No, that is as high as the HD will go...you are up sampling if you go higher than that...nothing wrong with that...if you have the space go for it.
