mikefriesen
So I recently decide to go all dig for my live sets so pod hd500x direct to loudspeaker for back of house and direct to pa for front i play djenty hardcore stuff so I have some gain but not a lot,( fball at about 21% gain and screamer at about 17%, a couple hardgates and an eq.) I use Seymour Duncan blackouts for pick ups in an Ltd 7 string. when I get my volume up to live levels, there is excess high frequency noise, like a dirty signal or something?,it drives me bonkers!!! my question is, what is the proper input output orientation???? please help!!!! Thank you!
spaceatl
I think your speakers expect Line level...You will need to use the 1/4 outs with your POD set to LINE. You can use DI boxes if you feel the need to balance the lines and use XLR....The XLR outputs on the POD are MIC level...If that isn't it, check that you are in studio direct mode.
