tommercia
Hi all, For the last 6 months I have been using the G75 wireless into my helix as my live rig. I've been having reliability problems with the G75 unit that mean I've completely lost confidence in it. I just wanted to check with you guys to see if theres anything obviously wrong that I'm doing before I consider using something else. The last drop out I had was the other day. It worked perfectly in sound check, I switched it off, I switched it on again a few hours later before I was heading on to stage, I tested it and could hear signal on the stage, 5 minutes later there was no signal at all. The batteries were freshly charged, the unit said the pack was connected so I'm not sure what was happening. I didn't have time to trouble shoot so I just unplugged it and used a cable. Now it seems to work fine again. It's not the first time this exact situation has happened, and it generally seems to be the bigger stages. It's always incredibly embarrassing. I'm hoping that it's just me doing something wrong. I'd love to hear any suggestions you guys have! Tom
phil_m
If you're getting no signal at all, it doesn't really sound like a reception issue. Do you have the Auto-Sleep function on the transmitter on? It sounds like it's perhaps going into sleep mode and not waking up. Are you running the latest firmware?
tommercia
Hi Phil, The last time I updated the firmware was in December last year, I can't see that there have been any updates since. It's not in the sleep mode either. I can't replicate the conditions to get it to happen again either. Using it at home is fine, it's also never cut out using it at small shows.
