JeffAbraham
New user here, can't seem to find this information. I'm debating between the LT and the Floor. I do a lot of silent practicing at home and also play 1 or 2 gigs a month. Can I plug my iPhone/iPad into the USB via a camera connection kit and jam along to songs on either Helix? The Floor would have the added benefit to control headphone overall volume while on the LT you would have to adjust volume on the iPhone/iPad and Helix separately, correct? Thanks for your time :)
jbuhajla
I have the floor and play along to backing tracks over USB all the time. USB Inputs 1/2 level are adjusted in Global parameters, that will adjust the level of your backing tracks. The headphone volume control controls the overall volume going to the phones, not just the backing track. Not sure about LT.
MusicLaw
I have the Helix Floor. The ability to use two of the Helix Floor's Four FX Returns to accept Left and Right analog audio input from a variety of playback devices, other than via USB is a convenient advantage. All that's needed is an adapter cable. Male 1/8" TRS stereo (i.e. mini headphone plug) to Left and Right 1/4" TS plugs. Costs about $4 and works great! The Helix Floor's dedicated Headphone Volume Knob is also convenient, and there are still two FX Loops remaining on the Floor if needed. Additionally, if you opt to get Helix Native, the price is $99 for Floor owners, and can be as low as $69 when Line 6 runs their 30% off sale. For LT owners the price is $299 (less 30% when on sale).
