Hello, now on my previous laptop (which ran windows 7) i could go into line 6 edit and hear my guitar if i had my guitar connected via cable to the hd500x which was then powered on and connected via usb to my laptop. Now, on my new laptop which is windows 10 i have the latest device drivers installed but no sound whatsoever. Didn't need to use external speakers or headphones to hear before so what has changed? i'm clueless

Nothing has changed, just that your Windows 10 machine is using the POD and your audio interface. That is if I am understanding you correctly that your old laptop played back thru the speakers connected to the laptop.

With that assumption...

If you prefer to use your laptop audio interface you will need to go to the sound applet in the control panel and change it. However, if you use your laptop audio interface, you will have latency in the monitoring. better to hook your speakers up to the POD if you want zero latency hardware monitoring.

Thank you for the response and info. I will have to dig deeper into the sound area of the control panel folder because i didn't figure it out quite yet. I guess as long as it is in fact a possibility to hear the volume through the speakers somehow that's good info to know at least for in the future when I finally figure it out lol
