Question regarding the HX stomp

Hello, I'm new to the digital world and I was wondering if the HX stomp could be used with a standalone power amp (or through the power amp of a tube amplifier) to power a traditional guitar cabinet. I have a Mesa Boogie JP-2C and a EVH 5150 III LBX going into a Mesa 2x12 rectifier cab and I was curious if I could use either of the two as just a power amp for the HX stomp. Thanks in advance to anyone who can provide information/help.

Short answer: Yes.

Longer answer: Yes, you run the Stomp into the FX return so that it bypasses the preamp in your tube amp.

Even longer answer: You can also switch between sending into the front of your amp and the FX return, so you can still enjoy your tube amp if you wish.
