Timmag Posted January 1, 2019 Share Posted January 1, 2019 Good Day! After trying out the Helix LT I am seriously considering buying one. However, I work on cruise ships, and the broken footswitch issues I have heard happening from some units is putting me off! I know from owning Line6 products that their customer service is stellar, however getting things on/off/shipped to the ship can be a royal pain... I understand that the issue has been remedied, but is there a serial number series of units that have the faulty footswitch? Thanks in advance! phil_m Posted January 1, 2019 Share Posted January 1, 2019 I imagine you’re talking about the expression pedal, not the footswitches. Unfortunately, because of the nature of that particular issue, there isn’t a way to trace it by serial number. It seems, though, that all of the affected units are pretty much out in the wild and probably have broken by now. If you buy a new unit from a large retailer, I would think the chances of getting one now would be very slim. Well, you can use your Crybaby as a wah, but I was thinking of an external expression pedal, similar to the Mission Engineering EP1-L6.
