innovine
I would appreciate some tips on getting some sludge metal type tones? I kinda like the smooth, muddy stoner sludge tone but am having trouble dialing it in on the pod. Meambobbo's guide doesn't go into any details. I'm using the jcm800 a lot, but would appreciate some advice! Guitar is ec-1000 tuned to d standard. I've a bass big muff pi too, if thats a help. stumblinman
I used a clean Plexi with a fuzz face in front for most of my Melvins tones if that gets you anywhere close.

devilshockey
Whatever amp model you are using, make sure you go into the deep editing and raise master volume, sag, and I would also adjust the cab parameters to fit. I really find that this is the area that truly tailors the feel of my patches.
